Building Capacity Through Water Skyball

About the WSB Training of Trainers Project

The Water Skyball in Europe – Training of Trainers (WSB-ToT) project was created to strengthen professional capacity around an innovative, inclusive, and modern water sport: Water Skyball.

Over two years, the project brought together sport organizations and academic institutions to develop educational materials, practical training experiences, and shared methodologies for coaches, trainers, and sport professionals. The focus was not only on learning the rules of Water Skyball, but also on understanding how the sport can be adapted to different educational, recreational, and community settings.

The partnership included the Hungarian Water Skyball Federation from Hungary, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens from Greece, T.S. Iron Man from Poland, National University of Physical Education and Sports from Romania, and BSV Wassenberg from Germany.
Together, these partners explored how Water Skyball can support inclusion, skill development, gender balance, and lifelong participation in sport.

The WSB-ToT project laid the groundwork for the long-term development of Water Skyball across Europe by empowering trainers and fostering strong international cooperation.
