Water Skyball in Europe project

Members of the consortium (Magyar Water Skyball Szövetség, Towarzystwo Sportowe Iron Man, Zavod Popotnik, Europski institut za razvoj sporta, kineziologiju i zdravlje) implementing the Water Skyball in Europe project, No. 622305-EPP-1-2020-1-HU-SPO-SSCP (hereinafter: “we”, “us” or “our”) are committed to protect your privacy and want you to be familiar with how we collect, use and disclose data directly or indirectly relating to you as an individual (the “Personal Data”).

This Privacy Policy describes how we process your Personal Data collected in relation to:

– the website https://www.waterskyballineurope.eu (the “Website”); and

– our service (the “Service”).

We are based, and we provide the Services from Hungary, Poland, Slovenia and Croatia member states of the European Union. Our processing of personal data is subject to the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation; the “GDPR”) and the laws of Hungary, being the domicile country of the cross-border processing carried out by Magyar Water Skyball Szövetség as main data controller.

Definitions

Data subject:                               Any natural person whose data is collected, held or processed.

Personal data:                             Means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (‘data subject’); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

Processing:                                   Any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

Processor:                                     Means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which processes personal data on behalf of the controller.

Controller:                                     the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data; where the purposes and means of such processing are determined by Union or Member State law, the controller or the specific criteria for its nomination may be provided for by Union or Member State law.

Recipient:                                      a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or another body, to which the personal data are disclosed, whether a third party or not. However, public authorities which may receive personal data in the framework of a particular inquiry in accordance with Union or Member State law shall not be regarded as recipients; the processing of those data by those public authorities shall be in compliance with the applicable data protection rules according to the purposes of the processing.

Third party:                             A natural or legal person, public authority, agency or body other than the data subject, controller, processor and persons who, under the direct authority of the controller or processor, are authorised to process personal data;

Consent:                                 of the data subject means any freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of the data subject’s wishes by which he or she, by a statement or by a clear affirmative action, signifies agreement to the processing of personal data relating to him or her.

Personal data breach:               A breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or access to, personal data transmitted, stored or otherwise processed.

User:                                               An individual accessing and using the Site or using the Services.

Service:                                          The events of the Water Skyball in Europe project and the website created by us.

Our data control activity in the cases specified below is based on the following legal bases:

During the project implementation we organise 5 grassroot sport events and several webinars for the public. Anyone can attend these events upon registration and participate in the sports services of the events and in the webinars. During registration we ask Users to provide personal date for project goals (i.e. Provision of services, Monitoring and evaluation of project activities, Measuring the project impact). The data are recorded on paper and / or electronically.

We do not transfer your Personal Data to the countries outside the European Economic Area.

Retention Period

In case you are unhappy with anything what we do, you can unsubscribe or send us an email to office@waterskyball.com and we will do our best to make you happy again.

Otherwise, we may retain your Personal Data collected concerning the use of the Services for a period of time consistent with the original purpose of collection (for details please see the “How We Use Personal Data” section of this Privacy Policy). We determine the appropriate retention period for the Personal Data on the basis of the amount, nature, and sensitivity of your Personal Data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, and whether we can achieve the purposes of the processing through other means, as well as the applicable legal requirements (such as applicable statutes of limitation).

Concerning the use of our website, the system stores log information for 3 months calculated from the date of logging, except for the date of the last visit which is automatically overwritten by the system.

Cookies are retained until you decide to delete them. If you decide at any time that you no longer wish to accept cookies from our Services, then you can instruct your browser, by changing its settings, to stop accepting Cookies or to prompt you before accepting a Cookie from the websites you visit. Consult your browser’s technical information. If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to use all portions of our Services or all functions of the Website.

After expiry of the retention periods, your Personal Data will be deleted. If there is any information that we are unable, for technical reasons, to delete entirely from our systems, we will put in place appropriate measures to prevent any further use of the data.

The above provisions do not affect the fulfillment of particular data retention obligations set forth by law (e.g. in accountancy laws), or data processing based on additional consents provided in the course of registration on the website, or in any other manner.

  • Your Personal Data Rights

You have certain rights regarding your Personal Data, subject to local data protection laws. As regards our processing of your Personal Data which is subject to the GDPR, you have the right:

  • to obtain from us the confirmation whether we process your Personal Data and to access your Personal Data, including the details of such processing, as specified in Article 15 of the

GDPR, and to obtain a copy of your Personal Data;

  • if inaccurate, to rectification and completion of your Personal Data in accordance with Article 16 of the GDPR;
  • to demand that we erase your Personal Data (the right to be forgotten) on the grounds specified in Article 17 of the GDPR (including if the processing of your Personal Data is no longer necessary for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy);
  • to restrict our processing of your Personal Data on the grounds as set forth in Article 18 of the GDPR (for example, if you contest the accuracy of the Personal Data, the processing may be restricted until we verify the accuracy of the Personal Data);
  • if our processing of your Personal Data is based on our legitimate interest, to object to any further processing on the grounds relating to your particular situation in accordance with

Article 21 of the GDPR;

  • to receive your Personal Data from us (right to data portability), to transmit such Personal Data to another data controller or to have us transmit your Personal Data to another data controller in accordance with Article 20 of the GDPR;
  • to lodge a complaint regarding our processing of your Personal Data with the local data protection authority.

We will give notice about any actions we have taken to adhere to your request within one month of the receipt of said request. Considering the complexity of a request, or a large quantity of simultaneous requests, this period may be extended.

Pursuant to the data processing act and the Hungarian Civil Code,

This privacy policy does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy, information or other practices of any third party operating any site to which the Website contain a link. In case you visit another website, even if it is recommended by us on our website, our privacy policy is not applicable, and we are not responsible for the activities of, and content available on such websites. The data processing and the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with

Hungarian laws.

Due to the global character of the Internet, you undertake to proceed in compliance with the provisions of all applicable national measures in the course of using our Website. If any activity related to using the Service is not permitted according to the laws of your country, you shall exclusively bear responsibility for such usage.

You acknowledge that even if this Privacy Statement has been translated to other languages, this was done for the convenience of users only, and even in such case the English language version shall prevail. In case of any inconsistency between the English language Privacy Statement and any other language version, the English version shall prevail.

  • Policy Changes

If we decide to change our privacy policy in whole or in part, we will inform you by posting a notice on our Website. Those changes will go into effect on the date posted in the notice. The new policy will apply to all current and past users of our Website and will replace any prior policies.
